SUMMARY:PATHWAY TOWARDS TRAGER® CERTIFICATION FOR LEVEL 3 STUDENTS
DESCRIPTION:What we’ll do:\nComplete many post Level 3 Certification Requirements and move toward Practitioner status. This course offers individual and group instruction to fulfill many training program requirements while striving towards practitioner level competency. Applying the lens of Trager Principles to the curriculum\, we’ll refine our capacities for effective movement and table explorations. Learning methods include guided practice\, group and individual mentoring\, discussion\, and clinical lab with outside bodies. \n  \n\nDates and Times:\nThursday\, September 18th – Sunday\, September 21st\nTh: 1:30-6:30pm (online / in person)\nFri-Sat: 10am-6:30pm (in person)\nSun: 9am-5:30pm (in person) \n  \nLearning Explorations Credit includes:\n9 sessions given\n6 sessions received\n6 hours mentastics\n3 required Level Three tutorials\nPractitioner Level refinement and integration and execution of principles within the curriculum \nClinic\, live experience working with outside bodies with supervision.\nSmall group tutorial with 2-4 students.\nTrager labs\, including full trades\, body-part specific trades and focus\npractitioner level use of various Trager Principles in your work. \nLevel 3 students will be working together as a cohort most of the time while Level 1 and 2 students and practitioners will be enjoying a parallel Immersion in the large space. This will facilitate necessary focus while building community. \n\nFee: $795\nTuition includes\n3 tutorials valued at $525\n3 days of instruction valued at $600\nInitial $150 deposit\nPayment plans available \n\n____________________________________________ \nWhat’s left for L3 students to complete:\n-*Write a personal essay on your Trager experience\n-Complete 2nd recommending tutorial with Joseph\, price included\n-Receive 2 professional Trager sessions (since L3)\n-Complete other coursework / instructor requirements \n\nSecond included recommending tutorial:\nThe first recommending tutorial (with Michael Lear) takes place onsite on Saturday or Sunday. The second tutorial (price included ) to be scheduled with Joseph Rodin within 4 weeks of workshop. Any suggestions or requirements from first recommending tutorial are to be completed within that timeframe to be recommended for immediate certification. \nRemaining practice sessions or mentastics:\nInstructors will help facilitate an efficient pathway to competence \n\nInstructors:\nMichael Lear has been Studying somatic disciplines since the 1980’s. He’s a Trager Instructor\, Tutor\, and Senior Practitioner living in Easton\, PA. He’s a decades long Ashtanga Yoga Instructor and Vipassana adherent in the tradition of SN Goenka. He’s a professional drummer and skillful group leader. He is currently focused on bringing Trager to those with complex PTSD\, especially our veteran community.  \nJoseph Rodin is a Trager Instructor\, Tutor and Practitioner in Seattle\, WA\, and brings his decades of experience as a bodywork and psychotherapist. He is a former Yoga Instructor and aficionado of Afro-Brazilian Dance and Percussion.  \n  \n\nLead Assistant: \n\n\n \n\n\nElizabeth Haselwood has been a Trager practitioner over twenty years\, and brings a background as a former professional dancer\, somatic educator\, and psychiatric nurse. She’s worked extensively with groups at the BodyMind Clinic in Boulder\, CO where she makes her home.\n\n\n\n* Please complete and turn in your essay prior to the workshop. Here’s the ask: write a 500 – 700 word essay which is a personal statement that communicates a sense of your learning process and self-development during the Trager Certification Program: the challenges\, successes\, questions\, insights etcetera. Come for one day\, or join for the full weekend experience. \nWhether fulfilling student requirements or simply refining your Practitioner Tablework and Mentastics\, this flexible\, supportive learning environment offers small-group instruction\, documentable trades\, clinical labs with outside bodies\, tutorials\, and plenty of opportunity for connection and growth.
