DESCRIPTION:Trager’s® rhythmic\, interweaving waves of soft tissue and joint compression and traction result in profound levels of integration. \n\n\n\nImprovisational and fluid\, Trager® releases chronic pain patterning while unfolding deepening levels of somatic integration. \n\n\n\nDissolve patterns shaped through protection\, injury\, and trauma. \nRestore greater ease and a more pain free life for client and practitioner alike. \nWhat is Trager®? Trager is a unique\, neuromuscular approach to bodywork and movement re-patterning. The tablework consists of deep\, fluid rocking movements (oscillations) of muscles and joints combined with compression and gentle traction. This feeds into the nervous system resulting in dramatic muscular relaxation\, along with feelings of lightness\, freedom\, and flexibility. The client is also shown simple exercises called mentastics which help integrate the profound changes in the body. \nSessions include individualized\, mindful\, somatic movement practices called Mentastics®. These support on-going well being\, enhance the benefits of Trager Sessions and teach clients how to integrate the principles into their daily life. \nMilton Trager\, MD\, who became aware of the basic principles at the age of 18\, spent over 50 years refining this unique approach to somatic movement therapy and bodywork. \nTrager® stands alone as an approach\, but also beautifully complements and deepens other styles of massage as well. Come and learn the language of the neuromuscular system\, and turn the temporary release of tension into an ongoing dissolution of muscular tension patterns. This Introductory Workshop serves as a prerequisite for the Trager® Level 1 Training leading towards certification as a Trager Practitioner. \nAlong with gaining mastery and deepening personal growth\, Trager® certification bestows a tangible credential in Neuromuscular Therapy and Movement Education and\, with permission\, the US Trager® Association will list practitioners on its website.

DESCRIPTION:Manual Therapy for the jaw helps patients with neck\, jaw\, face and shoulder pain as well as many different kinds of headaches. \nAfter this sixteen hour course\, you may apply to the WA health Department Massage Board for endorsement. \nYou’ll learn\n• Anatomy and physiology of the TMJ\n• Biomechanics and assessment of the TMJ\n• Intra-oral and extra-oral palpation and treatment techniques\n• Indications and contra-indcations to treatment\, and hygiene\n• Integrating neck\, head and TMJ treatments. \nINSTRUCTOR:\nJoseph Rodin MA\, LMP\, CTP.\, has been practicing bodywork for twenty-three years. A certified Trager® Practitioner\, he’s also studied and taught intra-oral massage\, cranial sacral therapy and other forms of manual therapy in Washington and California. He’s worked at the nationally recognized TMJ Orofacial Disorders Center in Seattle where he’s treated extensive jaw\, head\, neck and facial problems. \n
