SOMATIC FOUNDATIONS OF PRESENCE, TOUCH, AND MOVEMENT

This workshop (2 and 4 day options) delves into the somatic foundations of presence, touch, and movement, inviting participants to experience the work’s guiding principles of softness, weight, waves, connection, play, pause, and authenticity.
Each workshop day is 10-5, with an hour and fifteen minutes for lunch. 12 or 24 ncbtmb ce’s awarded with 2 hours of hands on work each day to integrate the movement inquiries.
We explore how our felt sense of movement changes the potency of our touch. This workshop is for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with touch and movement, in personal or professional settings. It fulfills the Mentastics class requirement for Trager certification.
Open to bodyworkers, movement practitioners, and anyone curious about embodied connection, this workshop offers a nourishing space to refine your touch, heighten sensory awareness, and attune to the natural intelligence of your living body.
Instructor: Roger Tolle.
As a Trager Practitioner since 1985, Roger has worked with over 30,000 clients. His background includes a B.A. in Theater/Movement, and 15 years as a professional modern dancer. He’s studied extensively with Dr. Milton Trager and other somatic pioneers and methods in the field of somatic movement education including Continuum, Aston Patterning, Body Mind Centering, and Gyrotonics. He was awarded the title of “Master Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist” by the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA).
